All Saturday Activities will take place at the Leavenworth Festhalle 1001

Saturday, April 12, 2008
9:30 – 10:30 Workshop 1. – “The 4-H Club of Singing/Conducting”(Head,
Heart, Hands, Health). These principles will be applied to create
awareness and to improve basic skills of the choral organization. This
session will include group participation and interaction. Presenter – Dr.
Paul Schultz.
10:45 – 11:45 Workshop 2. - “The Marriage of Music and Text”
The importance of music and text will be defined
as interpretive decisions are made based on the music alone with text
removed, and then with text, seeing how interpretive decisions alter or
remain constant. The massed choir selection The May Night will be used as
the demonstration piece. Presenter – Dr. Paul Schultz

3:00 - 4:15 Massed Choir Rehearsal
4:15 - 4:40 Directors Meeting
4:40 - 5:00 Columbia Chorale - On-Stage Rehearsal
7:00 - 9:20 Concert – Open to the Public
